I built myself a band saw guide a while back and bot chinesium bearings from ebay.  They have since blown up. Little pieces melted and shattered bearing balls etc.

So I went shopping for good bearings  Mind you they are little R6Z bearings.

I need five of 'em.

SKF is $33 @

Misumi is $20 @

PNG and other Chinese ones on the flea bay range from $1.50 to $9.75

I'm going with the Japanese Misumi bearings

SKF had a plant just 11 miles up the road.

And these days you gotta wonder if Misumi is buying theirs from the $1.50 guy.  The consumer has become the Quality Control guy.  My strategy is to keep buying cheap and hope I get lucky.  My UPS batteries just died, and replacements ranged $29 to $106.  The $29 are working thus far.
