11 JAN 2024...contacted Finance...as the "old" bank was closing out ALL checking accounts involving their Cards...gave them the routing /account numbers for the new bank...and hoped for the best....1 FEB 2024 came and went..no pay....when to the Veterans Services here in town,,,we contacted the  Finance Section...seems the check they sent out on the 1st...went to the OLD BANK..which returned the check due to the account no longer exists....:ArguingSmileys:

Got all that straightened out..confirmed the NEW Bank account...now I just have to wait for them to pay January's Pay check..again....

First time through this mess,,,all we did was send them a FAX..got the cover letter reply....however,,by the time they got around TO switching over to the NEW Bank..(TODAY)  Old Bank had already closed the checking accounts...on 15 JAN 2024....oops.

Worst case...I get 2 checks on 1 MAR 2024....however, I need most of the January check to pay the electric company....will have to take that bill out of Savings...

No "Spare Change" to go out and about...

The Change of banks was NOT my doing..but it was done by the Bank itself...and out of my control...

BTDT when our bank was taken over by another, took two months to get the mortgage straightened out.
