What's your favorite pocket size Tool

I follow some YouTube channels that build off road recovery vehicles and use them.  They all have been keeping a small adjustable wrench in their pockets lately.   They got me to thinking about this little multi-wrench I keep near and dear but not necessarily in my pocket.  It is about 4" long.

Besides my 3 blade pocket knife and 3' Stanley tape all the time. During summer or outdoor months my Leatherman multi-tool sometimes companioned with a 6" adjustable wrench &/or 6" slip joint pliers (carry over from the farm days)

In woodshop apron, 6" adjustable square, utility knife, sometimes a block plane and pencils in every pocket.

Cool thread Dan.

Just a Gerber folding box cutter type knife.

In my apron two Starrett squares 4 and a 6, plus a buck knife. In my shop pants a Case one blade and a Buck knife three blade. In my going out jeans a three blade Case. I just love the 4 inch Starrett .

I've not carried any type of mechanics tool or knife on a regular basis in many years.  Working in the shop I will have a tape measure on my belt.  What I normally do carry is a notebook and pen or pencil, generally the pen.  And, I guess the cell phone is a regular companion - unless I am working in the shop, then it's usually laying on the bench next to the bluetooth speaker.

Tire pressure gauge.

I find using this more.  The eyes must be getting tired or I'm using tolerances that I don't need to be using.   Danl

Doesn't fit in my pocket, but not too much bigger.  My favorite and most used "screwdriver."   I got this when I needed to get horizontal  drawer glides unscrewed from the back of a shallow drawer opening.  Bits kept falling out of my 1/4" ratchet.  It has slotted, Phillips, square, hex, and torx drive bits.  Also has SAE and metric sockets.  For allen wrenches it  works much faster than remove and reset all the time.  I added a few more bits, Pozidrive and metric allen (that I needed yesterday).

Unless you count a pocket knife, I don't carry any tools in anything. Even a Leatherman is uncomfortable to me. Besides, it's much more fun to run all over the shop/garage/house looking for something you need.

A pocket knife is ALWAYS in my pocket, and has been since around the time I learned to walk! I prefer a 3-blade version, with the longest being long enough to pare an apple. That's because we have wild apple trees all over the province, and I prefer to cut out any possible worms before eating the apple! As for the Leatherman, which is probably out of my price range, I carry a 2 1/2" long cheapy version (4" opened). This resides permanently in that little watch pocket in my jeans that nobody knows why it's still there. :WonderScratch: The small pliers on this tool are perfect for pulling the stainless inserter pin from the device that sets the injection site for my insulin pump onto the skin. (I'm a long-time Type 1 diabetic). With this pin removed, the rest of the device is simply recyclable plastic. The pliers are also useful for removing slivers, loosening nuts, and a variety of other tasks.

My Leatherman was a "surprise" in a box of junk 'er treasures from an auction long again. I've got 2 or 3 other knock-off versions that honestly are just as good IMO. As for jeans, I converted to "carpenter" jeans a few years back. Fit better (maybe the donuts:P), but I can get my hands in the pockets. Regular jeans my hands just don't fit especially if I try to retrieve change or whatever. Leatherman goes in the side leg pocket old time carpenters used for their 6' wood multi-fold ruler. Sometimes even use the hammer loop for a hammer. Also have some bib-overalls with same features.

BTW, that little pocket...I still have and occasionally use my device intended for those pockets. Have both a chain and couple fobs for it. Before cell phones, carried one every day. Ruined too many that went around my wrist.

Quit wearing or carrying a watch over 50 rears ago. When I was working, there was always a wall clock in the rooms I frequented.  And, my vehicles all had reliable digital clocks. Now that I'm retired, I really don't care what time it is. Eat when hungry, sleep when tired.

If I looked long enough, I could probably find 4 or 5 of those pocket watches around here. Most of them still work, too. At least they would if I'd wind them up or replace a battery! Gifts from elderly aunts, long since departed, or inherited from elderly relatives, also long gone. And one was a gift from a BIL, who knew I loved horses, and found a watch with a horse picture on the cover.
