November 11, 20232 yr Author Popular Post It is a simple way to make a jig to cut a hand hold in a box, drawer, etc. I never liked drilling two holes, running a jig saw beteen them and then rasping, filing, and sanding out the middle to make it straight Edited November 11, 20232 yr by kmealy

November 19, 20232 yr Popular Post Cool tip. My Uncle had these on his cabinets for radio controlled airplane parts. Worked well for that. So I tried them in my shop. Couple things I found as I went along. They seemed to be a vacuum for all sawdust / debris. My children thought of them as small trash cans to stuff candy wrappers and such in. Somehow while I was gone to Iraq for 3 years a wasp nest decided to inhabit that drawer. Was big surprise when I opened it up and hacked them off big time.
November 21, 20232 yr Using a dovetail bit, and setting the depth to not cut through the drawer front, gives you an undercut lip you can use to pull the drawer out with. Just sand off the sharp edge before finish and use. No hole to push candy wrappers through. 4D
