Porter Cable 690 / 1001 router base replacement?

Featured Replies

A volunteer dropped the one this morning at the furniture bank and we would like to get a new base for it.   It is the base, not the plastic sub-base.   Home Depot lists them but they are out of stock.  Ebay was also a bust.

I see a D handle base on Etsy, you're not interested in that? Anyway, Later I'll look and see if I still have mine....my 690 sits int he plunge base all the time. If I have it it's yours free....but i fairly certain I don't have it anymore. Anyway, I'll look.

Well, I was able to look around and can't find the fixed base for mine. I'm thinking I sold it or gave it away quite some years ago when someone over at Woodnet was looking for one.

I dug into my stash and had a 3rd party base that I bought for my PC router table years ago.  I didn't have screws for the sub-base or handles, but we were able to salvage those from the old broken base.  So we are good for a while.
