Dear Esteemed Supporters,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible support of Operation Ward 57's Adopt A Family Christmas program in the past. Your unwavering commitment to brightening the lives of veterans and their families during the holiday season has touched our hearts profoundly.

As you may know, Operation Ward 57 has a long history of serving the veteran and wounded warrior community, with a mission initially focused on assisting those returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, in light of the recent withdrawal from Afghanistan, we recognize the need for our mission to adapt and evolve to continue making a meaningful impact.

We are thrilled to share some remarkable news with you. The Honor and Courage Foundation, led by Heather Sliwinski, has been a driving force behind one of our most successful programs, supporting thousands of veterans. The Honor and Courage Foundation is now a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to honoring legacies and offering hope and healing to those still facing challenges.

After careful consideration, we have made the heartfelt decision to close the doors of Operation Ward 57 and entrust the mission to The Honor and Courage Foundation. We are confident that this transition will enable our shared commitment to supporting veterans, wounded warriors, and caregivers to flourish for years to come.

One of the initial endeavors The Honor and Courage Foundation will embark upon is the continuation and expansion of the Adopt a Family Program that Operation Ward 57 has proudly run for many years. This program spreads Christmas Cheer to veteran and Gold Star Families in need, and this year, we are excited to announce that Vietnam Veterans will also be eligible to apply. Your generosity can now extend even further.

To learn more about The Honor and Courage Foundation and their ongoing initiatives, we invite you to visit their website and connect on social media:

While we bid farewell to this chapter with a hint of sadness, we are immensely excited about the incredible possibilities that lie ahead. The Honor and Courage Foundation will carry forward the torch of advocacy and support for our veterans and wounded, for as we know, "For the Wounded, the Fight Never Ends."

Your past support has made a significant difference in the lives of those we serve, and we sincerely hope you will consider joining us in this new journey with The Honor and Courage Foundation.

Thank you from the depths of our hearts for your unwavering dedication and compassion.

With warm regards and gratitude,

Heather Sliwinski

We need two emojis for this one "like" and "Sad".

Will this affect our participation or is it too soon to say?

The way I read it Lew, it should not effect what we do with the Christmas projects, I think things will just transfer to the new organization. I am excited though that our Vietnam Veterans in need, can now apply to be adopted!
