    Bradford pear is really nice to turn. Just a shame that it's such an invasive species. I remember helping my brother plant then at his house in the 70's. They were really being marketed as the greatest tree ever.

    It turns better than cherry and most have lots of curl. Around here there is usually plenty available , just have to watch for it. I have some logs in shop from a neighbor couple years ago and some fresh from a club member.
