August 7, 20232 yr Popular Post I'm trying to find a good saw to do hand cut dovetails (and open to suggestions). I think someone needs to do some editing. Still trying to figure out how to plug it in. Searching around and the first hit was this: Z-Saw Dozuki Fine 240mm Japanese Back Saw 25 TPI 110/7121 $81.98 Brand Generic Blade Material Alloy Steel Surface Recommendation Wood Power Source Corded Electric Blade Length 0.01 Inches
August 7, 20232 yr Popular Post That product description ain't the only thing that needs changed. That price needs work, too!!!
August 7, 20232 yr Popular Post I have a saw similar to that. Wasn't nearly that expensive though. I don't have much of an opportunity to cut dovetails these days. But I've used this jig with successful results. Here is a little better pricing on the saw and it doesn't require electricity. https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/hand-tools/saws/japanese/32935-japanese-standard-dozuki-saw?item=60T0301 .40 Edited August 7, 20232 yr by forty_caliber

August 7, 20232 yr I'll have to look when i get out to the shop, but I think I have that same saw and paid something like $35 for it (2 years ago).
August 7, 20232 yr I made a jig to mark my dovetails and looked for it the other day but the shop gremlin moved it. It was a challenge back then to just prove to myself I could do it.
