New use for sawdust

Time to dial 988?

The livestock farmers around me do that with the animals they cull from the herd. One pork finisher I know actually put up a building just for that purpose. Once they cull the pig, it's paced on a concrete floor in the building and covered with sawdust they buy from a local sawmill. 6 weeks or so later they spread that sawdust on the fields. I noticed the state highway dept.  covers deer carcasses with wood chips now instead of gathering them up and hauling them off somewhere....at least around here they do.

Well we had a group of volunteers at the furniture bank this morning.  As they left the club volunteers were doing the usual -- charging batteries, putting away tools, filling the glue bottles.  One of the bottles spilled somehow and left about 2 cups of glue on the floor and more on the guy doing it (not me) feet and shoe.   One of the guy started wiping it up with shop towels.  I told him to go get some sawdust from a shop vac.  Poured it on, waited a few minutes, the rubbed it around.  Cleaned up the mess and scraped anything left with a putty knife.  Success.
