An interesting something going on with the chair rail trim around this door...

Looks like a toe stubber, finger pincher or shin nicker to me.

Perhaps it was the only way to widen the entrance for a wheel chair.

That is odd. People do strange things with doors. Some are practical and many are just a little strange. Here’s one sent to me yesterday.

I think the L shaped door is a brilliant solution by a young carpenter who wasn't yet familiar with frame a doorway across an angled opening into diagonally adjacent space.  :)

The tilted frame door to me looks like the computer drawn detail drawings sent to the door factory were accidently rotated relative to the door frame.   Automated door software then proceeded to "build" the door as it looked in the drawings.  An inspired accident I'd say!
