Pennsylvania Intarsia

On my last trip down I-81 I stopped at the PA welcome center in Great Bend, PA.  I usually stop there for a break as there isn't much to choose from in northern PA that has convenient on/off the interstate and clean restrooms.

On this trip we took the time to browse the local brochures and part of the rest stop was open that is usually closed.  On the wall was a huge intarsia work that they said was done by a local artist - mostly reclaimed barn wood!  Wow!

It is approximately 25' long and about 6' tall.

The person working the rest stop didn't really have any other info about it.

When you get down to the southern part of PA, stop in! I-81 passes within 300 feet of our house.

That's amazing, Cal. Thanks for posting it.

But how close are you to the exit Lew ;)

I've made the offer a few times to folks traveling I-75, if you want to stop I'll meet you at the gas station and have a cup 'o joe with you.  If it's time for lunch or supper might even break bread with you :D
