Boy howdy was taking truck to car wash, so i can put up for sale, (this is one of my biz trucks i just can't seem to get rid of) any howz, i don't normally hit garage sales, but the word WOOD, on the sign made me take a moment, ended up with a load of 1x white oak, and some misc. other planks, but biggy was about a dozen 1'' plus x about 5 ft walnut slabs, if'n i told you what i paid, you'd run me outta town on a rail, so i'll just keep it quiet, only issue is, where to store the dang stuff.

Good score. I kinda fell into a similar find last year with 8 16x1x 14' white oak planks plus a router for 45. Problem was termite damage on edges but it worked out for a cabinet commission. They had more in red oak but I just don't do much with red.

I'd call that divine intervention. The wood you can make good use of showing up right when you pass by.  Nice haul!
