That was the unexpected question i was posed yesterday.  After church, we had a potluck lunch which i stayed for.  ended up sitting next to a friend (gal), and she proceeded to brag to the remainder of the table about how talented I was.  (let others praise your name, Proverbs 27:2).  After a bit, some lady she knew, but I didn't, stopped by to chat, and my friend told this other gal about me.  I pulled out my phone and showed her some pics of work i've done, including our kitchen, and the lady asked "Who is your rep?" As in representative.  who promotes your work to the public?  This is a fairly common question in Santa Fe, NM, which is full of artist types who have someone else do promoting work, so they can focus on their art stuff.

 

I had to reply, "um, no one, it's just me".  Turns out she is a realtor and interior designer, so who knows if she'll track me down and ask me to build something.  can always say NO.

When someone says "I hear your fix computers" I run the other way. And, when the lady next door says "Our theater group was wondering..." I have a panic attack

Realtors operate just inside the construction industry.  The construction industry manages to disappoint customers on a frequent basis.  Realtors are always looking for new sources.

I guess i'll take it as a compliment that she thought enough of what she saw that she thought I could or had sold stuff previously.
