May 26, 20233 yr I've been offered a 128" long church pew to salvage. I am thinking there is not much I can do with it. Any other thoughts?
May 26, 20233 yr We have one in our kitchen. I cut it down to 6’ and it catches the overflow at family dinners. Could be a good theater prop.
May 26, 20233 yr We have one as well. I wanted to get rid of it when we moved to this house, but I was overruled. It sits in the dining room along one wall (142"). I suppose I could shorten it, but that wasn't acceptable either. The biggest difference between ours and Ron's is that ours serves absolutely no purpose other than to catch junk which has to be periodically cleared out.

May 27, 20233 yr These they make now are all particle board. I did salvage some from our church. Used the hymnal racks to make boxes. The backs and end handle went to make picture displays and all that was sold by the church. I think I have a piece of the back left. Thought about cutting one down but just no room.
May 27, 20233 yr If it is solid wood I'd knock it apart and use the wood seat and back and side panels for other projects. 4D
