Same guy who ordered the the Armory plaque thought I could (he had more faith than me) make their motorcycle club logo.  Glued up some 5/4 maple, shellaced it to limit the paint bleeding, and gave it a whirl.  Ended up being 22 x 30.  I sent him this pic and asked how he wanted it finished.  He said to leave it natural and just poly it the way it was.  Don't know if he liked it or didn't want me to ruin it any more than it was.
