Wen Drill Press Cam Lever Upgrade

I all the years I've been using drill presses, one detail has always irked me a bit and that was the knurled handle they all have to loosen and tighten the table to the post shaft.

This is what I replaced:

This is what I replaced it with:

Found it at Amazon.com.  Only review was that it was used to replace the handle on a drill press.  Metric threads.  Now a simple lift of the comfortable cam lever is all that is needed to loosen the table to adjust it up or down.  Push the cam lever down to lock snug.  Now looking for one I can use on my floor standing drill press in my garage.

Thanks 4D. Another idea I could have thought of but got lost in the back of my brain some where.

Got a page link by chance? I want one of those for my little 8" benchtop. Probably costs more than I paid ($5) for the drill press at a garage sale several years ago.

Here is the one I bought.  Check yours to make sure the threads will match.  M10 coarse thread. Should measure just a bit under 10mm in diameter.

Thanks 4D. I'll have to verify but pretty sure that's the same size as mine. I know it's metric.

Found one for my Nova Voyager drill press at McMaster Carr.   Pricey though. $67 after shipping and taxes.  M12 1.75 thread.  Went ahead and ordered it and it should arrive Friday. A more industrial heavy duty stainless steel cam lever than the Kipp aluminum one.

The lever for my Voyager drill press came today.  The threaded part was about 2" longer than it needed to be but that doesn't interfere with the use or adjustment of the drill press.  The cam does work although from loose to tight it doesn't have to move more than about 20 degrees of rotation.  If the extending threaded shaft ever bothers me I'll just hacksaw it off.
