March 1, 20233 yr Popular Post Back when I started seeing school auctions listed in the Sundays news papers of the Dallas Morning News turned on a memory of high school and wood shop classes..... In my way of thinking none of the machinery was ever used used enough to be worn out, So for a few years I made all the school auctions within about 400 miles of where we lived.... This receipt I just run across looking for something reminded me of the bargains that saved me lots of that hard earned stuff and put me in a position to be up there with those rich guys who had it all but still didn't know what to do with most stuff they had. The date is on the receipt but mostly I was interested what some of these things cost me...I already had enough of the dewalt 788's but one more I could stack somewhere for spares... The Preformax 22-44 was to replace a double drum closed end sander which was way too hard to reload the wore out sand paper. I still use it but the sand paper changing keeps it sitting covered up in the other end of the shop... Another thing I did before the bidding started as every one was checking out all the items to be bid on was watch the people checking these machines and gently mention this machine is probably 3 phase to the guys that was interested in bidding one certain machines. And sure nuff lots of these guys was probably never around anything like this machinery and all they could think of was wood working..
March 2, 20233 yr I'm an auction type myself. Cows, farm machinery & equipment, tools, wood, furniture, cars... you name it, I've likely bought it or something kin to it at auction I've got more than one interesting auction/auction purchase story! Let me add one here after I'm done with the car purchase thread... Edited March 2, 20233 yr by Cal
