I thought this was interesting how he made the vase with some primitive home made looking lathe and tools.

The process was really cool JT, I love seeing how folks create different ways to create. Big turnings like that really don't need anything fancy to rough out do they, just a piece of iron with a grind tip, really if you think about it that should work.

Gotta admit, sometimes I cringed with his use of gloves in some of those operations, but like a whole bunch of us, we have our ways and we know what we are doing, and comfy with.

Interesting. But I can see some cracks in his future. He did not hollow enough to let the wood dry. That is an interesting problem . Another thought is gluing dry wood to wet. 

Personally, I cringed at his work on the table saw. His fingers DEFINITELY were too close to the blade for comfort! Nice turning, though. Thanks.

There is a guy who is courting disaster. The fingers/hands remaining attached are optional.
