January 22, 20233 yr Popular Post So, were your sales as brisk as the weather was? Nice interesting bunch of boards and trivets, there. I really like the curvy styled one. Other than your "pen pal ", were there many other wood guys, there? How many shows do you do this time of the year?
January 22, 20233 yr Author Popular Post no on other wood guys, gwen gal who runs the deal, tries to keep it to one per type of craft, its not a big show but been doing for years and well do quite well, it keeps wood, sandpaper and other stuff flowing into shop, going to venture out to another slightly larger show next month, we do it for something to do with product we make, have a few friends who come over and spend time, i'm not a pen maker, tried it just couldn't keep focused on it, but do make a lotta stuff on lathe and working at doing more. time, seems to be fleeting, since retirement, and yeah was a real busy day, sold a lot, so off to timber hardwoods again this week, and grab some hard maple, and a few other odds and ends. only one sat a month for this group, and its a hoot, have quite a few second and third sales, and a lotta want custom boards, i try to make it difficult for customs and i'm not really looking for a job, its a hobby one that pays for itself mostly, and keeps me outta the ''bar'' lol. happy sunday rj in az

January 22, 20233 yr Popular Post RJ, what a wonderful display of your craft, glad to hear you do well in the show and all sounds like have a decently good time. In my eyes there is no better view than a craftsman wares being displayed in one place, with all those different woodsy colors and shapes and forms, it's real art. Ok, I gotta ask this RJ, it's been awhile and I know you got a great sense of humor after reading you for awhile, so, your picture of you, the tin foil. Explanation please? Or not.
January 22, 20233 yr Author Popular Post thanks, i have some other items on the list, to build, this keeps ole gal busy, and off the tv and computer, gotta keep her moving so she doesn't freeze up on me, lol. and its fun, easy to do. the picture is from a ''thing'' on another site i used to frequent, being an avid shooter and reloader and sometime gun smith, got into a discussion and the conspiracy guys got into a long protracted story, so i fabricated a ''conspiracy idea'' and got a gaggle of them hooked, hence had to take a pic of me shielding my grey matter from the ''ozone and space waves'' trying to indoctrinate me into their ''guild'', had it going for almost a year till i gave it up as ''bullpucky'' amazing how gullible some folks wanna be to blame their failures on others, i had fun, so thats the gist of it, and by the way, there are some crazy odd folks in the world, while being crazy and odd, some are amazingly intelligent which confused me in their easily being maniuplated, i guess they wanted to believe. sorry for long gist, you asked, lol and yeah, its said i have a rather odd sense of humor, but its just me, lotsa things in the world to be ultra serious about, but in the end if you can't smile, what reason to be around. rj in az
