Hi Gene, I've been trying new things lately but most of my carvings are in the round. As for topic, I seem to be all over the place. I'd probably get better quicker with some focus :-)

Nice work.  Way above my pay grade.  I can just barely carve my initials in a tree.

Hi Kevin, and welcome. Haven’t been back to your fair state since leaving boot camp on January 4,th 1979. There are MANY knowledgeable, and nice, people here. Kinda thinking their numbers just increased by one. 

Welcome to this here Patriots Woodworker thingy. I don't remember anyone from Texas before spending any time here but I think your credentials speak for themselves. And my memory has gone somewhere else so maybe everyone was born in Texas because they are very friendly and wants to teach and learn from everyone else.

  A little tip, always have pictures of what you are talking about either asking for help or giving advise. 

So where exactually is Texas located?
