December 20, 20223 yr Popular Post An article on two (of more) ways to cut rabbets. I'll have to say, I usually just do a few rabbets at a time. Today for example, I cut rabbets in the back of some wood to use in a picture frame. Likewise if I'm rabbeting the back of a carcase for a back panel. I do two passes on a table saw, one flat and one on edge. I have it done before I could change to a dado blade (to say nothing of back again), or find the right router bit, set it up in the table, and position the fence. If I was doing 50 or 100, I'd probably break out the dado blade. Or if I had a plethora of table saws, I could leave one set up with a dado blade. https://www.finewoodworking.com/2022/12/13/cutting-rabbets-two-ways
