December 2, 20223 yr Popular Post stack sawn 1/8" bb. 10" tall. I used 8 different air brushed water base paint colors. Took a few minutes! Used a piece of cardboard to color each side different. You can see the wood burning but as long as I can control the blade I never change blades especially if I color the wood. # 5 Flying Dutchman blades and water base air brushed for the color... Elmers yellow glue and two very small plastic clamps to glue the half pieces on. Very little sanding with these blades. One good amount of clear Rust- o enamel and while still wet sprinkle silver glitter, let dry and one more coat to lock the glitter in so mom won't raise ole billy s. The glitter does cause a mess so drop cloths is suggested.
December 2, 20223 yr Author The sticks are clamped on where the half pieces go and the clamps are to keep this area clear for the glue. card board is used to cover the half while spraying the other half on the full size main piece.

Those are really sweet, Jess! I was wondering what the purpose of the sticks/clamps. Thanks for the explanation.
December 2, 20223 yr Author Popular Post John I'm gonna hang them outside and when the weather thinks it is going to give us some snow maybe the weather will see the large snow flakes and say to them selves well Breckenridge, tx already has snow so we will bypass Breckenridge until next winter. I don't know any other reason I made them

December 3, 20223 yr Glad you posted those up Patch. Starting to wonder where you be. Those are really cool. Kudos to you for not getting glitter all over everything including yourself. I'd have glitter everywhere.
December 4, 20223 yr Author Grandpawdave52 I was worried there for a while for sure...Nothing about health, no, my computer decided to go south for the winter. Back in business again with a rebuilt tower and I'm back computtering again but only with the help of my darling wife.....but hey I goofed up for her birthday was Nov. 29 and I got her nothing. I would starve to death naked needing a haircut if it was not for her. Right after we got married I told her I was too busy to have to stop for a few hours just to go and get a hair cut so I or maybe both of us bought her an electric razor and now for 60 something years I haven't been to a barber shop. She ask me ever few years can I give her the money we saved for her cutting my hair. Honey it just don't work that way in real life....

Smart computer though. I'm beginning to think it best to go South for the winter. Should have done it years ago not just for a week or two in the summer but year round. Too old and too much stuff to move now. Anyways great to have you back posting up again! Edited December 4, 20223 yr by Grandpadave52
