November 22, 20223 yr Popular Post The Router Workshop’s first Jigs and Fixture lessons, Well, I have created my first Jigs and Fixture lesson and had my student create her first router fixture the ¼ inch spacer fence. From the first fixture we worked on creating the following wood joints. 1) the ¼ inch rabbet/dado, 2) the ¼ inch box joint, 3) ¼ inch trivets, and 2 boxes, one with a rabbet/dado joint and one with the ¼ inch box joints. See my brag book here https://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=Dh8FR&m=Jns0ZTA2y0k8CX&b=rfJvszvTHrIIiRqTDyN2Fw Dowel with my router on TRW, Next up, is the creation of dowel using a router and router table. Here we have the lesson about how to use the router to make ¾ inch dowel. The dowel is being used on the CD storage system. Look for this how to video on my YouTube channel. It uses a flush trim bit and fence that has an 1/8 inch off-set. This video shows the set up frm start to finish. In the video we give a tour of the back-end of the TRW streaming service. We show the hide and show feature and what can be done with the picture in picture feature. November 23, 20223 yr For a good router project this box designed to hold CDs has 4 unique corners that all could be done on a router table save the holes for screws which aren't really needed. We used it a a starter project in our beginning furniture design course series to introduce the students to several tools. More than just making a box there but you could just use the simple box with no other of the details we required. https://4dfurniture.blogspot.com/2022/04/woodworking-education-joinery-box-not.html Feel free to use it or adapt it to your educational needs. 4D
