so i pride myself on having spares, i have two band saws, both same size however one will resaw larger than others, and the small delta i relegate to fast simple work, and today i was cutting rounds, had a dozen to cut, so went out got ac started early, ended up in shop after breakfast and finally got to the band saw, and managed to cut a few and bam, dang blade broke at the weld, now its well used, can't complain, but it was my own fault put a little too much ummfh on it pulling jig off saw, blade bound up and well we know,

so i figured no big deal, dug thru the blades, and low and behold not one 3/16 wide x 10tpi, had every thing else, for really rough cutting, so now a trip to rocklers hoping they have a blade, issue is i will spend some retirement $$$ , just cause of some dang new shiney

happy sunday

lol,so i jump in the truck and run to rockler, not realizing the time as i'm an early riser, and of course they don't open till 11, so went back to shop and decided to throw on another blade, and well, not i've a job sanding the edges, blade i picked looks like i used an hatchet to make it round, oh well, so just jumped on lathe and made a french style rolling pin, gonna give it to a longtime client at their festivities tomorrow, that we are attending, gonna have to see if rockler is open on the fourth, seems like veryone else is.

happy days no matter what.

felt good to make some dust even if it created more work, got a chance to get away from visitors drama. lol, three of my daughters are here due to other sister having a grandkid. whew. hope its the last one.

pretty sure hiding the keys is a wife thing, me thinks its to keep one from hitting up the wood store, lol

its an ongoing thing here to go on the snipe hunt for keys, and it seems they are always where they should be, but no one looked there. ugh

Always in that proverbial "last place I looked location" Hate to count all the missing stuff we find there:Laughing:

well i had not pulled out the juice groove jig in about a year, and since then i have gotten another new router, a skil, which i really like, so in my anst, to get one done to see how the really large boards would work, i neglected to see if the router knobs would glide over the edge stops, and well just dove in, and walla, one fubared juice groove, dang knob hit the end and router went berserk, ole guy didn't do his part, so, fortunately its only about an 8th deep, so can run thru the drum sander and fix my screw up, so with that, i'm a done for the day, gonna find a cold barley pop, grab a pork rib and act like its a holiday

may the Fourth be with you,

She would not know how to start either the truck or the car.

If I haven't gotten her to drive in the 12 years we have been here, probably not gonna happen.

Advantage here is a will never have to put her on my car insurance.

RJ, did you buy TWO?

Maybe even THREE?

well rockler wasn't open on the fourth, and i got busy on the 3rd and almost went around 4pm, when ole gal said they close at 4pm so, i just suffered thru a few more cuts with an ugly rougher blade, just had to sand the rounds, did order a couple on internet which will be here today, still gonna hit up rocklers today i need a router bit.

and last evening an organization down the way from us had a real nice fireworks display, hung my feet in the pool and drank a few moose drools to wash away the days events, hehe, what a fourth,

well snuck over to rockler, and just as always when i hit the joint, have a specific list in mind, but get side tracked, and came home with a Band saw blade close to my needs, some CA activator, a new tape, as i'm considering a new router table, i have an old Rousseau lift from back in the day, and plenty of laminate left over from some display stuff we built, all i need is some mdf to make a really thick flat table, needs to be large as i do large boards and large flat pcs.  but in my looking around found a couple tables that, well are set up, have a large router, fences, dust collection, hmmmm decisions decisions, have to see how the week goes.

found a pin hole leak in my condensate line on my mini split head, not sure if we did it during install or came that way, but took way longer to find than to fix.

got my indian rose wood small pcs from a fella on another site, i'd previously purchased some ebony from him, was as stated. i plan on using the small rosewood pcs for a gaggle of wine stoppers on my ''to make list'' for gifts later this year. along with other misc.

almost finished with my plans for the hope chests for my grand daughters, gonna be a g & g style, with a flair of ''who knows who'' lol. that will most likely be due to mistakes, hehe

good day for sure, even with the left over of too many moose drools

happy tuesday
