we spent a little more than originally planned to build "my" shop, but it's now paid for, fully stocked, a little messy, and gives me a place to create whatever I please.  either for our own use, or for the benefit of others.

 

more than once, someone has asked "can you build xxxx"....a little pondering, and normally the answer is "yes, when do you need it?"  two weeks....well, the last time i did a similar project, it took 6, so lets use that as a baseline.  I rarely do 6 hours in my shop, maybe 4 on a good day.  i need time to think and do other things (like dig ditches, ugh).

Saturday evening, a little jumpy, 7:30pm, I dragged my lightweight 10" Craftsman Contractor TS to the front porch. Squared up one of the wedge-split pieces of beam end.  Made for a great night sleep.

 

Even my neighbor noticed the different schedule. He heard the saw, figured it was way earlier that it was, and missed his trip to market for Powerball tickets.
