Looks like a device to cross connect a square bar to round stock. Maybe something from like a workmate type portable work table???

Looks like a termite eaten hockey puck. Or one that is electronically controlled by the opposing team so when it's heading towards a goal it will veer off course and hit the bar and no goal......I do believe both teams practices this more so than making goals. Too bad they don't keep records of it!

I hate to toss it. But probably will.

Patch, you need to get out of the heat. No way is that a hockey puck. Gene lives in the desert...ain't no ice there for hundreds of miles.

Many thanks, @frenchwwr. Mystery solved! Now a new mystery . Not being a gunsmith, and, not owning anything but a small carry piece, how did it end up in my shop?

If anyone wants it, PM me your address.

Keep it and use it as a drill guide.  The "V" would be perfect for drilling dowels.

Might have shown up after the glaciers melted back after the ice age.

It's nylon. Too soft!

Lots of gun owners around here. Might put it on C/L as a freebie.

Think about that carefully (the freebie on C/L). Typically, anything "free" will get you swamped with messages, even though most of them may not have a use for it.

My experience mirrors Fred's on this.  I've taken to putting a $5 or $10 price on it and just giving it to the first person interested - makes us both happy and solves that problem with the free stuff Fred described.

Found the roll pin punch set that goes with that block. Now, it might be easier to peddle on C/L.
