June 10, 20223 yr Popular Post Running out of room for my boards I decided to make a storage rack using 2x4 pine lumber. I set up my bandsaw to cut the basic tenon on the horizontal 2x4's. A stop block gave me precise length. Sorry but I missed taking some photos of the mortise and finishing the tenon but they were done on my CNC Knee Mill. Starting the assembly... Making the pegs using my segment jig with an adapter. It took a few tries to get the size right... More assembly A bit of interference had to be removed for the rack to fit in the allocated space. Rack assembled with the cross supports using pocket screws and the top board came from a headboard a buddy gave me after his buddy gave it to him. I cut an arch in the bottom of the old headboard to make it look lighter. It's amazing how stiff and sturdy the rack is. Oh the pins are two piece with a taper on the inside so I hammer one in from each side until snug. JT

June 13, 20223 yr Nice design. Looks like it should handle the expected load. Also nice to see a true craftsman's work who can't help but make a storage rack also a work of art! 4D
