Sounds like maybe that friend of the Nigerian Prince has a Dewalt on-line store perhaps? You would be doing him special favor by ordering one because he can't keep them all and just wants to share his good fortune with someone. Just send him your SS #, Credit Card #,  check routing numbers and banking info, then for a mere $74 he'll deposit one directly to your account.:throbbinghead:

Every piece of machinery I bought from Grizzy works great and they have treated me better than any company I have dealt with since I got married.. After getting home with a tandem axle  trailer loaded down with the green machines I called them in one month and told them the 16" band saw was not big enough and powerful enough to suit me and they said bring it back and exchange it for what ever size you feel like you need...then in about a year I called them and said my remote for the dust extractor which I had in another section of the shop didn't work and they said send it back and I did and got another in the mail....They seem to be the quickest on shipments on anything I order so, you know I can only go on my experience with the company and it has all been great!

The one thing I liked about going to Springfield was the saleman said show me what machines you want to see  in action and we will take them over to the work area and an expert will go over it with a fine tooth comb so you will be completely familiar with all phases of operation before they leave this building!!!! If you are not happy there is no way we will be happy. And I believe thats exactly how they felt about their customers.

Lew I don't remember where I was reading the add but it had Dewalt's logo's all over for I was looking at different high voltage battery operated weed eaters and this add had all the Dewalt products priced as cheaply as the 735. I have a 20 year old 733 and as long as I keep sharp blades on it, it does a great job for all the wood I run through it, maple, ash and mesquite it does great so no I have two new sets of 733 blades and that should do me for a few years. I will look around and see if I can locate it...I think I ran into an add like that bout a year or more ago and couldn't believe a company cold stay in business selling those things so cheap?

Look up Dewalt cordless tools and its listed there says 80% off or something like that!

Last year my wife bought me a Dewalt 20v weed wicker. She was tired of hearing my tantrums about the engineer who designed the corded Toro I had. Anyway, she bought it at Tractor Supply at a really good price. They said they were not going to carry Dewalt any longer.

Apparently, Dave remembers.  A few years ago, I logged in to TPW and someone(maybe Dave) posted an ad for a Grizzly 15” spiral head planer for a killer price.  I went over to Grizzly’s page, ordered the planer and paid for it via credit card.  I immediately received a paid in full receipt.  Later that morning I got an email from Grizzly stating that there was an error in the ad and an order cancellation.  Being the jerk that I am, I contacted Grizzly and stated that I had fully paid their asking price and that it was a valid sale.  In return, All I got was a single finger salute.  No apology, no discount offer, no nothing.  I don’t hold a grudge but that a was pretty poor response.  Therefore, I go out if my way to extol the “virtues” of this fine company.

Yep that's how I remember it. Like it was yesterday but I don't remember what I did yesterday so take my validation with a grain of salt.:D IIRC we might have even discussed this debacle over the phone or via text.

Funny how that happens for some things 30-40 years ago. But if it was last week, "What drill bit? I put it back just like you said". My brother can borrow a pair of pliers for two minutes, lose them, tell me he'll get them later, and then spend eight minutes finding them.

A few years back Surefire made a mistake in a sale and EVERYthing was 50% off. They honored the sales but being a family company, were extra proactive in tightening up procedure. Something as simple as screening sales in real time will catch a problem.

Ron, I guess this is why I brought up this add which I think anyone would almost know if a company could sell things this cheap they could not stay in business and it might be the same type of price you took from Grizzly as being something thats wrong to start with. So maybe I was reminding everyone to think before they shove that money out the door.  This world is made with lots of suckers to fall in to these kind of traps all too often. I hope you got your money back so you could keep looking for them bargains!
