03.24.22 Auction Purchase Surprise(s)P1

From on-line auction about three weeks ago, I bid on "4 empty tools cases" I was the only one to bid, so got them for $1+ auction premium.

Due to miserable weather it was a few days before I got them out of the truck and to my surprise, they weren't empty. No major scores,

but got $1.15 worth. I was just happy with the cases.

Finally got a-round-tuit taking pictures. You know what "they" say..."one man's junk is another man's junk, 'er treasures."

Picture is auction site picture. I wanted the top case for my Ryobi cordless reciprocating saw and R/A drill. Figured I could cut out any

molded pockets so both would fit. Lucked out, someone had already cut them out.

Gray case was probably a soldering gun kit case.

T-R craftsman, jig saw/drill case, L-L IDK, but tool molding removed; L-R another Craftsman, multi-purpose case, two tier.

Gray case: advertising give-a-way box cutter or finger amputator:blink:; screwdriver is junk, but handle can be removed for file handle; (4) 1/4", NPT brass pipe plugs + 1/4" NPT x 1/4" compression fitting; misc. hardware

Repurposed large red case. Random hardware, a couple of drill bits, NIP, SE razor blades; good 15A Sq-D breaker, a good NGK spark plg which is actually correct for both my JD front mount mowers...anyone need new 45" white athletic shoe strings or coax splitter?

Also these "treasures" were inside. 2-1/8" hole saw, never used, plus arbor, lots of hex drive bits + some hex drive sockets & other "good stuff."

Small Craftsman case; couple good masonry bits + 3 twist bits; 3/8" drill chuck key; D-handle + deadman handle???

Large Craftsman, Top Tier: More masonry bits, the missing chuck key cord retainer, double end bit (junk), a pencil I lost 21 years ago but still sharp:rolleyes:, random hardware, a good machine screw extractor, a good 1/16" drill bit and a whole bunch of old style automotive, fuses...haven't looked at amperage but a lot of them

Bottom Tier...a whole bunch of random stuff/ hardware plus some instructions someone probably should have read?

Anyways, thanks for looking. I'll post some of the other treasures in another post coming soon to a thread near you.

You're farther North:KooKooClock:

Lumber prices sure haven't slowed the building in my town. Literally hundreds of condos,  private homes, 3 habitat homes within the past few years have either been built, are under construction or are in the planning stages today. The small town of about 3000 I moved into has grown to over 9000 today and is growing faster than crab grass. To add to that problem, the state has notified us and other communities that there is a severe housing shortage in the state and now says our town must allow 750 new homes to be built over the next 10 years or loose state assisted funding for needed projects in town , like road funding and many more projects. We're running out of land to build on so now they want to build higher. This little resort town is rapidly growing into a city.
