Some primitive something inbound,......

At the same time I was adding some finish to my euro plaque it was such a sunny nice day I decided to drag a tool or 2 out and get some scrap wood moving on down the road toward something. It's just some old barn salvage junk I picked out over what was left of a barn tear down. I was initially going to cut out some more euro plaques but decided against it at least at the moment. I've been doing some looking online at different types of simple tool storage for some files,..screwdrviers etc...I'm still needing some more shelves..powder horn display bases...who knows...but it's one step closer toward something. I did run the router down 3 sides of my best board just to see what it would look like. It's also got a big crack in it which I plan to do a primitive repair on. Inlays have been on my to do list and I am considering some of those bowtie inlays some of you woodworkers do. Could be some other materials incorporated here......curly maple,..walnut.,....bone......antler......we'll see. This is some pressure free builds, ya can't mess it up

Love the weathering on those old boards!

The one that I did some routing on is the only one left from some sort of old pallet I pulled out of the creek beside the house :P...I used the rest to make the shelves I have some of my axes on a year or two ago. I've posted this before..we're gonna do a little something different this time.

I'm following. I love your slap cut, batten look of your shop walls. Very cool. Quite the axe display too? Do you throw 'em?

Nope, never done any throwin. They were some of my very first refinishing projects though. I cut my teeth on my sanding and staining on old axes and planes and such.

Nice job on them. About 45 minutes up the road an in-door throwing range opened a little over a year ago. From what I hear, doing quite well too.. Not something for me even if I physically could, but interesting to watch.

Most excellent Aaron on the plane. The handle in the last picture is spectacular.
