    For a second I was wondering what 4Hers were doing at 10:00pm.   Now that I've seen you and your talents perhaps you could come to my university and explain the same to some college kids?  :)  Mine tend to prefer electric sanders that like to leave a random swirl pattern on the boards.

    I LOVE sanding when my sanding blocks are effective. Fitting the base slats into the rabbeted opening on my cylindrical vessel, I used the sanding block for sub-millimeter sizing adjustments.

    Not early, that piece from age 9 was left behind. Dad even calculated the moving company's charge to transport my heavy box of 2x12's, crudely assembled with bent 16-penny nails ...

     

    This one is 25 years new, survived a minor flood. Time for a scrape, sand, scrape, refinish.
