Grandpadave52 Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) Trying not to hi-jack the thread, but late summer, early fall we have a period of about a week when we are blessed with swarms of dragonflies. We can sit in the yard late afternoon to early evening while they hover over and around us, zooming close by at times. About every 3 years or so, the population seems to quadruple over the previous years. I don't know for sure what attracts them to our property living rural as we do, but it is mesmerizing to watch them. Amazing creations. My wife loved the look and I must say that it works! Here's a photo of how much elevation the carving has as well as the location on our wall. Thad, DuckSoup, Cal and 5 others 8 Quote

I concur, that bit of depth enhances the carving perfectly. Most excellent sir!! Thanks for taking us along the journey from conception to placement. Awesome trip!! Popular Post Cal Posted March 16, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted March 16, 2022 Amazing Frederick, I love it! Not to take anything away from your shells and such, but your recent entomological carvings are spectacular And I love the look the spacer block gives to the piece allowing for a true shadow line - genius! Thad Posted August 1, 2022 Report Posted August 1, 2022 That was an ambitious undertaking. At least, for me it would have been. You seem to have handled it with ease and confidence. That is one awesome piece of gen-you-wine art! FrederickH and Grandpadave52 2 Quote
