February 13, 20224 yr Author I bought screws to mount the Dewalt 625 on the router crafter. I have two sitting doing nothing and I'm constantly using the PC plunge routers for something.all the time. Weight seems to be close to the same..
February 15, 20224 yr Had a Dewalt 625 till the bearing siezed after maybe 12 years in router table. Have a PC 690 combo with both fixed and plunge base. I do not think the 690 is as smooth as the Dewalt . For what you are doing the weight difference could make the PC best for fluting use.
February 15, 20224 yr I have a friend in the sign carving business who swears by DeWalt routers. They're certainly lighter than my PCs and, in his business, that's an asset. I'm happy with my 690s, though. And, my 7518 in the router table, is a real work horse. A lot depends on the job, though.
