January 20, 20224 yr Popular Post Last fall I picked up an old Stanley #10 for cheap money because it was missing a Chip-breaker. I recently found one non eBay. It's not a great 'Looker' especially with a chunk missing in the throat. With my internet connection down last night I started to work on it putting stripper on the handle and the bed to remove the red paint. and this morning started the clean up It's coming along Ok the worst I see is the low spot in the side and bottom ofd the body and the cutting edge of the blade is way out of square. I didn't bother trying to get all the paint off the tote, all this plane will be is a user.
