December 19, 20214 yr FYI...Heard about this a coupe of days ago. Second consecutive year to be Postponed/ Cancelled. https://www.thewoodworkingshows.com/events/ Edited December 19, 20214 yr by Grandpadave52 link added
December 20, 20214 yr "unwilling to put anyone at risk" life involves risk. we balance that with the rewards available and temper that with our personal conduct. risky to get out of bed, risky to take a shower, risky to consume food prepared by others, risky to drive a car. in large part, the cooties affect the elderly with other conditions. if you are under 65, you have minimal risk of the cooties.

I had planned to attend the Indy one this year. I figure a far greater chance of getting cooties at Wally World than at the WW Show. Less chance of seeing someone in their pajamas & flip flops too.
December 20, 20214 yr Popular Post I had a notion of attending the one in Springfield in January, woulda been about 4 weeks from now. Guess I got an open 3 day weekend now.

Yes, I agree that everything in life has risk attached to it. Do you drive over mountain passes during an ice storm? Do you use non slip pads in the shower? Do you consume food from fly by night food truck or do you go to a regulated, inspected restaurant. As a business, do you want to risk the liability if your location is identified as an outbreak hot spot? In the National Guard our state training ground has a rodent population that Hantavirus is endemic in, so we got (and they continue to get) training on how to mitigate the threat. It's all risk assessment and minimizing risk.
