October 13, 20214 yr Popular Post The piece that extended the leg is missing and it was edge glued so I started by drilling 2 3/8" holes for dowels. If I was going to be a wood worker I decided I needed to be able to never turn nothing down if thats what a customer wanted me to do then do it. I actually got 3 days of labor in this so there lies a problem?

This is all walnut but the little turns is hickory for I just installed a hammer handle and was too long so I used the throw away piece of the handle end for the turn on this customers table. The reason I save all small pieces of hard wood for later use. Every thing is always in the way at one time or the other and these hammer handles were bought at a lumber yard auction in 1964 auction before I retired from the fire dept in 1980...so that means we moved four times with those handles. That lumber yard auction had lots of 3x 6's and was the reason I went to that auction for I was fixing to build a Cabin on Lake Brownwood and I had enough so all the walls were 3 x 6's even the walls up stairs also...
