Popular Post kmealy Posted September 27, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) I'm (temporarily) famous. November WOOD Magazine that arrived today has my Top Shop Tip of the issue. A full page dedicated to a simple tool I cobbled together. Not bad for two popsicle sticks and some scrap wood. Popular Post Masonsailor Posted October 7, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted October 7, 2021 I don’t think the average woodworking Youtuber makes that much off YouTube per se. I think some of them promote their turning classes etc and may do well from that standpoint. Some of them are better at marketing like April Wilkerson who either has really good advice from someone or just good business skills. Her site is marketing done very well. Hope she is doing well. The shops are a result of sponsorships which doesn’t always equate to monthly income. Paul steven newman, Grandpadave52, Artie and 4 others 7 Quote

Congratulation again. Danl Cal, DuckSoup, steven newman and 2 others 5 Quote

Paul No sure how they make money either but possibly by being supplied the materials to build what they want for themselves, then make a video. kind of like side work for me. Sure I will put some brakes on a car or truck or some other simple repair and get quick cash. This slushy I use for projects, thus no money comes out of my normal operating budget. Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted October 8, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted October 8, 2021 The income stuff overlooks the sponsors support. I don't follow Mark, but I know he has a shop full of Powermatic stuff and the are several other less noticeable sponsors as well. He's also carried on one of the streaming channels for which he gets paid. I respect he is a very good woodworker, but the show just doesn't appeal to me. StaticLV2 Posted October 12, 2021 Report Posted October 12, 2021 One of the guys I enjoy watching is Natsuki Ishitani his channel is here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7FkqjV8SU5I8FCHXQSQe9Q He is a good Japanese woodworker, probably not a recognized master, but a solid journeyman for sure. His wife does the filming and video editing and he has just over half a million subscribers. Likely not as much as he makes from woodworking but a nice sideline.
