September 8, 20214 yr Popular Post one day last week the guy i normally work with in recycling pulled this from the bin...it was originally headed to the dumpster. he handed it to me and i finally took my brass wheel to it today. it's not perfectly clean, but still reasonably sharp.
September 9, 20214 yr Popular Post Nice save. I found a draw knife years ago in an old wooden tool box. Still have the box with an old newspaper on the bottom dated 1893.That knife was in excellent condition. . Never really developed the ability to use it or the need for it. Gave it to someone on these forums who will remain unnamed several years ago.
September 9, 20214 yr Popular Post Thank you for saving that wonderful tool. If you have a Dremel or something similar, there is a buffing pad that attaches which will clean it up nicely. I keep a few of these wheels around and Lowe's has difficulty keeping them. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Dremel-2-Piece-Silicon-Carbide-15-16-in-Buffing-Wheel-Accessory-Kit/1238379
