August 13, 20214 yr Popular Post Not really woodworking, but an assembly project for my daughter. She has been working from home since the covid stuff started and has been working on a small foldable computer desk, but definitely needed more space to work on. We located this desk and the seller wanted $450.00 to assemble it. I told my daughter I could assemble it, saving that cost. It was allegedly an 8 hour job but I did spend a good part of 2 days with the assembly. Not too bad for an old pfart.

I remember my parents back in the day told me they'd put our Christmas presents together Christmas Eve, this would have been late 60's and early 70's, and they remember there were IQ charts attached to the instructions, if you assembled the toy or doll house in so many minutes or hours, there was a corresponding IQ measurement. They failed miserably all the time, of course it didn't help they'd already had 3 or 4 Manhattans before they started assembling our gifts!
August 14, 20214 yr Author Popular Post HaHa, If there is, I haven't seen it.The only thing was the offer to have it done by professional assemblers at what I thought was an unreasonable price. The instructions did say the assembly time would take 8 hours. Guess I failed that time estimate miserably. And that was without the Manhattans. It took a couple hours just to unpack it all and sort the parts. Edited August 14, 20214 yr by Al B

August 15, 20214 yr I echo what everyone else has said. I also have two questions, both of which may be none of my business. Feel free to tell me that. 1. What company does she work for? 2. Where did you buy the desk? I really like it.
