June 7, 20214 yr Daughter's neighbor is getting several hundred feet of fence installed to surround their back yard. Of course, they didn't get it done today because of size. But in case it rained after they left, they covered with a tarp. Hmmm. Spend the rest of its life outdoors, but cannot get a day of rain. (It actually rained for about 15 minutes) (Ok, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and they want to prevent pilferage, but they could have just gotten the forklift to carry another 40 feet around to the back of the house.)
June 7, 20214 yr But maybe it's not sealed yet and they want to wait and spray seal the whole lot at once?

June 12, 20214 yr I moved to Tennessee from Florida in ‘82 to go to school. I much prefer the mountains to the beaches. Just don’t move to Nashville. Fastest growing city in the country, someone has put billboards up saying, “ We are full! Go home!” I am happy here though.
June 13, 20214 yr Popular Post We moved to AZ almost 50 years ago. We've lived on the Mexican border and, as close to Utah as a non Native American can get and, a few places between. Have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The desert ain't for everybody but, we love it! Well, except for downtown Phoenix.
June 13, 20214 yr Popular Post Well, you didn't mention Ohio (smart choice) so I won't go into any downsides of living here. Just as well...it's a long list.

I moved from Ohio to Colorado to be with my family. The section of Ohio I'm from, Coshocton county, has steadily gone downhill. Many industries have moved or closed. Jobless rates are high and populations have decreased. As John said, the downsides are many.

Never looked back. When I visited in the '80s, my dad's friends would ask me if I was still employed. Umm, yes, because I'm not working in the mills. A few of my friends and relatives stayed around, but not many.
