May 8, 20215 yr Now in the market for new router. The murder victim was an older (25+ years) Ryobi, with lots of power and heft. Mostly used mounted on the wing of my table saw. I don't use a router a lot, but it's nice to have when needed. I saw this combo on big A, and would appreciate any opinions or alternatives. Thank you, Jim. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005RHPD/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00005RHPDp13NParams&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSzlPVUJRR1JSMjVJJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzIzNjU3MUZYVVQ2WjZVOTVVQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTY4MTQ1M1QxOEFZNkg1TE5TWiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbDImYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
May 8, 20215 yr Popular Post Jim, My wife accuses me of a router fetish and admittedly, I have several. This Bosch that you are poking at is my favorite. In fact, I have two of then with one hanging under my router table. A bout six months ago I replaced the bearing set but it was easy peasy. If you’re a vet you may want to price them at Lowe’s.
May 8, 20215 yr Ron and others here recommended this router for me a few months back & I am happy they did. The soft start on this router is nice when doing handheld work. I do miss the single wrench bit change with the Ryobi but I'm pass that now. I did find the price cheaper at Lowes.
