May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post No pictures to this yet, I'll take some and post them later. But I just wanted to have a brag. I have achieved the ultimate woodworker dream I think. My wife has been introduced to woodworking and is loving it. I have been allowed to buy a second drill, more clamps (more clamps to come too!), and other things are in the future. She has made a rolling storage cart for her garden tools with hangers, a small wheeled low trolley for her to sit on while doing low work (helps with her knee while recovering from injury) she calls a "shunty", and is in the process of making a side table with leaves to play cards on in the lounge. Am I blessed or what?
May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post Well, if I was a little younger (OK, a whole lot younger) and single I'd ask if she has a sister. Things being what they are I'll just offer congrats!
May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post Ahhhhh!!! Just wait 'til you have to divide the workshop into his & hers! DAHIK. Then will it become"what's yours is mine etc."? But congrads. Enjoy the honeymoon while it lasts.
May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post Better finish that wallaby trap before she takes over the entire workshop! Edited May 2, 20215 yr by HARO50
May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post That tells me it would be easy to talk her into building a bigger shop. Congrats.
May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post i bought a bunch of tools shortly after we got married, she asked if I knew what I was doing. of course. and then i built her a kitchen to prove the point. twice. and a bunch of other stuff too. if i want a tool, i get the tool. and she gets the benefits of the tools.
May 2, 20215 yr Author Popular Post It has never been an issue getting tools if I want them, as she knows I only buy what I need, when I need it. But now there's even more incentive when she wants to use them too
May 9, 20215 yr Author Popular Post It's great, and so nice to have her spend time in the workshop with me. And as we both grow in skill, well who knows where that might lead.
