Maple Pepper Mill bout ready to be put together...

Featured Replies

I started this a while back this one is just about finished and getting ready to be put together.  I've been putting the coats of lacquer on and there is a huge difference with the sanding sealer staining and then finally coats of lacquer.  It has a more sharp looking shine to the wood.  Either way this project is a birthday gift for next month so I hope this final product turns out decently.   (Yes FYI I'm also considering buying a beading tool).

And this one is finished off.  The bottom retainer plate is a bit off center but the mill is functional.  Its a bit tricky to get them in properly having the spring inside it just doesn't want to stay put in one place.  For the top I just used a bit of CA glue to secure the plate in before screwing it in place.  Either way this one is finished and works.
