Identifying drawer pull

Featured Replies

I'm working on this table, and now have most of it complete (but not fully assembled). Anyway, the drawer pull (which you can almost see in the pic) is  kinda of a dangle berry thingy on an escutcheon. Sorry, can't think of another way to describe it. So what I'm looking for is the correct description of this type of pull. I've searched for a "dangle berry on an escutcheon" and didn't get anything useful...or even mention able on a family forum :throbbinghead:. I'm pretty sure it will turn out to be a $5 pull with a $15 shipping charge so I'm also considering alternatives, like turning my own knob from some of the cherry I have....would that be out of place on this thing? My first choice is a dangle berry is I can find one. BTW, the article I based this on didn't offer a clue. Oh, yeah...the table:

Lee Valley calls it a "pendant pull" or a "drop pull".

THANKS to all. I was able to get one that looked close and ordered it! (and the shipping was only $7) Plus, I  now know what they are called.

Fred now that there is a name to the pull you were trying to find you might put this on your favorite list for they got a few drop pulls with some great prices....This is one of the first sites that got me to becoming a carver for their Appliques was cheap enough when I started looking for some to order at least one of all they had in stock at the time. And now I'm glad I did cause their stock is very low as what it used to be. dlawlesshardware.com

I would trace around those pressed wood carvings then add or substract things, print some out enlarged to suit what I was working on and now I'm hooked.

Oh, by the way that is a mighty fine looking table.

and if you happen to have any, no matter how small, scratches on any part of the wood pieces, sand them out before you even think of a finish for that lovely thing...I was warned many times about scratches that was not supposed to be there, in my starting out woodworking days. Laying in bed at night I could see scratches on everything in the dark.
