March 20, 20215 yr Popular Post Thought I would try to turn something outboard. I took a 7x9x18 piece and cut it into two 3.5x9x18. Took one of those and cut it in half again and glued them together. I ended up wit a piece 1.75x18x18. I cut it round on my bandsaw. I put it on the lathe and evened out the bottom and outside. It turned very nice. No vibration.
