I bought the outrigger for my lathe. I know I will need it soon enough but to justify buying it now I made a tray for it to hold the small parts.

That is a nice addition.  Good idea for the small parts for now.  As you continue your journey into the vortex of wood turning you will need a cabinet to hold those small items.

I saw it in a YouTube video. Not my idea.

I like the innovation. Now you can start thinking cabinet like Dan said always need more places to put "stuff"
