My order was one day and it says it will be here the next night.

Bolt Depot, I will remember the name and not only because these stainless steel screws

were a good price. Not a clue where I ordered these from but Phoenix says I will get them today!

Dan check you place and see if they have # 4 x 1/2" sheet metal screws with flat heads.  I could only find stainless steel in that size. # 4 x 3/4" yes but couldn't find the 1/2" long ones. I like to use sheet metal screws for the threads are the same diameter top to bottom making it easier for a pilot hole with regular drill bits. I do grind a taper on old bits for some some holes but I put lots of holes in these carvings I do and the counter sink bits are faster to use.

I do like to use stainless steel for the phillips slots don't wear so bad.

We have a Fastenal here in town. Really convenient!

We have a bunch of them around.  I've gotten some odd stuff there right off the shelf.

A few years ago, I needed to order a replacement digital camera for work.  I found one on Amazon and put it in a cart.  I could get free shipping or pay extra for 2-day or whatever.   I decided that the old one could limp along for a couple more days, so I opted for the free one.   Lo and behold, it was shipped from the next town over, less than 5 miles away.   I had it the next day and thankfully USPS or UPS didn't do something stupid like ship to Akron, then to Louisville, then to Cincinnati.

We have a Fastenal here too.  I always deal locally owned if possible and Nationwide Industrial Supply is locally owned.

Steve, I'll be honest. I used McFeelys exclusively for probably 10-15 years and loved them...until Graingers bought them out. Now I find they are out of stock (often) and some of the screws are not the quality of what I used to get. Many of them are combo drive (versus square drive) now which I really dislike. But that's just my opinion. My problem is that when I searched for an alternative I couldn't find any I liked so I occasionally (and begrudgingly) buy from McFeelys.

Well I wondered what happened to them. I had used them maybe 20 years and then maybe 8 years ago just not the same

McFeely's is now HQ'd just west of Cincinnati.   It's in the same building as Midwest Dowel & Atlas Dowel in Harrison, OH, on the Indiana line.

Did someone buy them from Graingers? I thought Grainger moved the HQ to MN (or maybe it was WI).

I think Graingers still owns them...since 2007.

Speaking of Graingers, one of the guys at the furniture bank ordered some stuff from them.   It was at the local store at 7am the next day.

Just received my latest invoice from McFeely's and they are in Harrison, OH.

The Grainger store closed about 2 years after coming.  They were not impressive.  Online was better.  And, I haven't missed them.
