Natural Christmas bell

My wife and I went for a walk by a lake and I picked up a walking stick that had fallen from above. I brought it home because it looked like it could have some interesting grain inside. I cut it into 6 pieces and was really surprised when I looked at the end grain on this one. The piece is about inch and a quarter in dia.

Do you see a Christmas bell with a star?

After cutting small slices, unfortunately the rest of the piece was a bust. I doubt anything can be made of it. However I did find and show pictures of a larger piece of wood that showed a star and streams of light coming from it. Somewhere in the archives of PWW.

Ron:

Whatever you make with that make sure you put up a picture for us to see. Would look good on a X-MAS tree and only be seen just a short time. Displayed for all to see would be great.
