How I make letters and names where they will mount on a board correctly..

A person can saw out each letter and try to glue them on a board but getting all the letters lined up like a person wants them is almost impossible. Here is my solution.  2123014254_2downandfourtogo.jpg.f4f4c49feb53343cacd124b15aef39d1.jpg

I connect all the letters together so it will be easy to glue the names on a board and they are all lined up like they should be,

Notice the lines I drew under the names I had Rapid Resizer print out and Resizer makes the letters any sizes one needs for the job, any size!!  After I got this far in the second picture I then drilled some small .046 holes under all the letters and using the scroll saw with a # 3 blade I sawed out more wood under each letter so a person can see each letter plainly. Each letter will have two pieces of wood attaching them to the log under the letters. Can't find that picture!!!

I then kinda ruff up the wood under the names and color it dark wood color...

I don't think I have seen anyone using names and letters  Microsoft has in their Word program but they were here on all #7 and on up to 10 but now one has to pay for the use if you have # 10 and there are not very many styles but I think you can still load more styles off the internet. I like these old English type of letters which the scroll saw can make them look like  they should look and Rapid Resizer will space them out then tell the printer what to do. And I use a 20 dollar printer.....

Hi, Patch

Yes, I use this technique.  The thing I do is allow a little more  (higher) on each letter.

Great idea for all of us.  Thanks for sharing
