In spite of being in a very very dark mood

I got some things done.

My almost 30 year old Echo 280E tree climbing chain saw was bogging down  so bad  it couldn't cut twiggs.

So I pulled the carb  soaked it in a cleaner and ordered a rebuild  kit  and ordered some o rings  to fix the leaking  Bar oil cap

The gasket kit took for ever to arrive  so  naturally  I forgot where all the p[arts were supposed to go

I was surprised that there are no you tube vids on the Echo 280E Carb.

Oh  well  That's why I have a brain I guess.

Got it sorted.  The throttle linkage was maybe the hardest part.

On these little carbs you gotta hook  up the throttle and choke linkage before you try to mount the thing.  EXCEPT  in that  ridiculously tiny space   there is also a gasket that has to go in between the carb and the engine. There is no  pocket  for the gasket to safely  rest in while one fiddles with the linkages and the itty bitty  washers that let you move the choke.  To many  parts doing  double duty.

Anyway I got it on  Used a couple tiny dabs of super glue  to get the gasket to stick so it wouldn't go  flopping around.  Tuned it up and it's running like a champeeeen

And I was wondering why  my  tablesaw  was in the dark.  Ballast on a fixture.   Ordered one replaced it and  let there be light.

Little things  they can brighten an otherwise  unbelievably bad day.

Glad things went right. Nothing worse than being in a dark mood and then everything you try to do fails.
